Our story

Our background

L’Estrange Designs was founded in 2015 by Jill L’Estrange following her return to Ireland after years living abroad, working in architecture and property development. The company was borne from a vision to bring exciting and innovative spaces to Ireland, something she had taken a keen interest in while working overseas. Since the beginning, L’Estrange Designs have had a passion to create eye-catching spaces. Carving out a niche in the commercial market, we handle a range of projects, from hotels, restaurants, and bars, to leisure spaces, offices, and small business. Each project has its own unique requirements and we offer hands-on, personalised design solutions.

Building from strength to strength, over the past number of years L’Estrange Designs has had projects featured in multiple publications, as seen on our press page. Alongside features, L’Estrange Designs has been both Nationally and Internationally shortlisted for awards, with 2019 seeing the scheme for Nutbutter being shortlisted in the Fast Casual sector for the Restaurant and Bar Design Awards worldwide.

Our team

Three creative and playful minds make a perfect team here at L’Estrange Designs. With a common interest in travel, we enjoy going to design trade shows and research trips abroad looking for project inspiration, to infuse in the Irish market. We also have a mutual love for our four-legged friends, so it’s not uncommon to have a pup running around our office every now and then. While we are passionate about our many shared interests, we each also have different assets that we bring to the table, making sure that all aspects of our work are covered, and providing our clients with a broad variety of options and styles for each project. The real strength of our team is the collaboration that goes into creating the perfect design.
