When approaching the design concept for Nutbutter, we wanted to veer away from cold, clinical approaches to healthy eating, and bring a warmer, more natural aesthetic to this industry. The brief was to create a rustic, boho, beachy environment that would transport customers from East Coast Ireland, to West Coast California. We wanted to focus on using a lot of raw, natural and sustainable materials, such as cane, rattan and reclaimed timber, creating an organic style that reflects the innovative menu and ethos of the company. It’s a strong example of how to successfully marry food and design, and the social media effects, especially of Instagram, have grown organically from huge customer support, who travel to visit the interiors and request to photograph them on a regular basis, as seen on their website.
